Public Transportation:

Is there any direct train from Termini MAIN Station to Fiera di Roma?

There are two train lines that connect Roma to Fiumicino International Airport:
The Trenitalia/FS line, which is the Public Italian Railways company, and the Leonardo Express that is a private company.
Trenitalia/FS trains WILL STOP at Fiera di Roma. Coming from Roma you can use a Urban Ticket. Urban tickets can be used to go from Roma urban area up to Fiera di Roma, but not further toward Fiumicino Airport. In this case, and also if you are arriving from Fiumicino Airport, you will need an supplementary ticket.

Leonardo Express train is the direct train that goes from Termini Main Station to Fiumicino International Airport.
Instead of what it has been said before, it is not guaranteed that the LEONARDO EXPRESS trains will stop at Fiera di Roma.
Eventually, information would be provided on site and the price would be 11€.
The EASD2008 free ticket is not valid on Leonardo Express train!

How much does it cost to reach the Nuova Fiera by Public Train/public transport?

The cost of one hour ordinary ticket (also known as BIT – Biglietto Integrato a Tempo) is 1€.
The BIT is valid for all the Public Means (Metro, Tram, Bus) within the urban area for 1 hour or for one Metro/Train journey.
BIT ticket is valid also to reach the Nuova Fiera by train FR1, but not to reach the International Fiumicino Airport.
For further information, please visit www.atac.roma.it

Are there any free transport tickets provided with EASD 2008 registration?

Of course. On the occasion of EASD 2008 meeting, EASD committee will provide participants with a Seven Days Transport Ticket (aka CIS – Carta Integrata Settimanale).
This ticket has to be stamped and it is valid for 7 days from the first use.

How can I get the CIS free ticket?

The CIS will be given together with the conference kit.

Is there a taxi service from Nuova Fiera?

Yes, a taxi service will be available from inside the fairground.

How much does taxi cost?

From the International Fiumicino Airport to the Nuova Fiera the cost is about 15€.
From the International Fiumicino Airport and the Nuova Fiera to the city area the cost is 40€, for taxis that belong to Comune di Roma, and 60€, for taxis that belong to Comune di Fiumicino.

Industries and agencies:

I have hired a bus. Where can I leave and collect my delegates?

Buses and Minibuses that want deliver the participants at Fiera di Roma, will have to enter from the EAST Gate-Cargo (ingresso est-cargo), then reach Hall 8 where there is the Registration hall.
The delivery in front of Registration Hall is free and need no registration.

For the pick-up two solutions are available:

1. The space within the fairground is limited. In order to avoid participants to walk between moving lorries and cargos to find the bus, we need to register buses and assign them a parking slot. This slot will be reserved to that bus and no other means will park on that place.
Whenever is needed, delegates will find the bus in that slot (that you can also sign on a map) and they can arrive or leave the Fiera safely.
Bus registration costs 42€ (VAT included) per day per bus.
A LIMITED NUMBER OF PARKING SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE.
BUS REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AUGUST 21ST 2008.

Click here to download bus-registration form.

2. Pick-up point are also available outside the Fiera di Roma, near the Fiera di Roma Train Station, from where participants can take the ramp to the Nuova Fiera entrance or the shuttle minibus to the Registration Hall.
In this case don’t forget to agree with the bus driver about how and where to meet.

Where can I park the bus during the meeting hours?

Unfortunately there are no parking areas around Fiera di Roma.
Usually the bus driver is well informed about this. Don’t forget to agree with him about where and how to reach him and the bus.

I have hired a Car. Where can I park it?

In this case, cars with driver will have to enter from Ingresso Nord (North Entrance).
Cars can be parked outside or can stay (but the driver must be available around the car) inside the Fiera di Roma, next to the North Entrance (below the Centro Direzionale).

I have some extra staff. Should I register her/him?

EVERYBODY has to been registered to enter inside the Fiera di Roma.
It does not matter if this is a delegate, an exhibitor, a hostess, a cook for a stand during the exhibition...
